#HelloMyNameIs Media Pack

Template social media post
#HelloMyNameIs is a campaign that reminds healthcare staff about the importance of introductions. #HelloMyNameIs asks healthcare staff to simply introduce themselves to their patients before anything else.

The campaign was created by Dr Kate Granger in 2013, who during her treatment for terminal cancer, noticed that many staff did not introduce themselves before delivering care. Kate firmly believed that introductions run much deeper than just common courtesy. They’re the start of a relationship and can make a patient feel like they’re being treated as a person, rather than a diagnosis or a bed number.

Kate sadly died in July 2016, but her legacy lives on, through staff remembering their introductions, through the work of her husband Chris, and through donations to her chosen charities, Leeds Hospitals Charity and St Gemma’s Hospice. So far, £460,000 has been raised for these amazing causes.

During my time working as Marketing Manager at Leeds Hospital Charity, I had the privilege of creating a media pack for the campaign, based on the important but rudimental logos and photographs the campaign was using at the time.

This included a full brand guidelines document, introductory packs for suppliers and NHS organisations, and template posters, signage and social media posts.
Template poster, created so trusts could add their own NHS logo to the top.
I feel extremely lucky to have been able to play my part in spreading the word of #HelloMyNameIs, arguably the biggest and most effective awareness raising campaign in the NHS. I hope these assets are used far and wide, developed and added to, as the campaign moves forward.
